Purpose and legal basis of our data processing
With our internet offer we would like to inform you about our services, enable you to purchase our products directly and offer you the retrieval of further information and product updates within the scope of our business relationship. In doing so, we observe the principle of data economy.
For some of these tasks, however, it is necessary for us to be able to identify you as a business partner. In these cases, it is necessary to set up a user account, for which at least your e-mail address is required. We only use your eMail address to contact you in the context of specific business transactions (newsletter requires opt-in - see below).
In addition, various circumstances (e.g. due to commercial and tax law requirements) may lead us to collect further personal data (e.g. address, VAT ID, etc.), as well as to store the content of the respective transaction. The logging of business transactions also takes place under the aspect of verifiability in the event of disputes.
In order to enable customers who have purchased our products from other suppliers to access updates, we maintain a license register in which you can be entered by presenting your proof of purchase and the licensed e-mail address. Some cooperation partners can also make this entry directly - a corresponding option is offered to you there during the purchase process. In order to use our update offer, you have to create a user account on our website with your licensed eMail address.
The use of parts of our offer is also possible without the explicit specification of personal data. Nevertheless, your IP address is transmitted as a personal identifier each time you call up a page. We store this for a short period of time in order to recognize potential attacks on our IT system and to be able to take action against them.
Data subject rights
You have the right to receive information about the data stored about you, as well as to request this data from us in a machine-readable form. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data, as well as the right to block or delete your data, or to restrict its processing, provided that the deletion is contrary to legal storage obligations on our part.
Where you have given us consent, you have the right to revoke it at any time with effect for the future.
You can manage a large part of your personal data yourself. To do so, please log in to our site with your user ID.
Please direct any further inquiries or requests to our e-mail address given above or write to us at the postal address given above.
Furthermore, you have the option of contacting a data protection supervisory authority - responsible for us is: The Brandenburg State Commissioner for Data Protection and for the Right to Inspect Files in Kleinmachnow.
Disclosure of data to third parties
In the case of business-relevant information (e.g. business letters, invoices, etc.), it may be necessary to pass this on to third parties (financial accounting, tax consultants, auditors). This is done exclusively within the framework of our legal obligations.
If you make a payment via paypal, some data will be transferred to paypal (see below).
For the detection or prosecution of irregularities (eg attacks on our IT systems, fraud attempts, etc.), the involvement of third parties may be necessary. In this case, we reserve the right to disclose personal or personally identifiable information after individual review and to the extent permitted by law. Who these third parties are depends on the individual case and can therefore not be documented here.
This list is exhaustive. No further disclosures will be made.
Storage periods
We delete personal data as soon as it is no longer required for the above-mentioned purpose and any applicable statutory retention periods have expired. As a rule, ten full calendar years apply here for business-related data, and six for simple correspondence.
We delete IP addresses from simple page requests within seven days. In the case of anomalies, the period is extended to 90 days to allow a detailed investigation of the matter. If this investigation reveals a concrete suspicion of an attack, the IP address may also be stored permanently to prevent further attacks.
For further information on storage periods, please refer to the following list.
Use of the contact form, further contact
The use of the contact form is voluntary. Alternative contact options can be found, for example, in the imprint.
When you send your message via our contact form, our system generates an eMail with your details, which is sent to our address. To prevent misuse of our form to your detriment (e.g. through spam), we do not send a copy to you.
Please note, both when using our contact form and when sending an e-mail directly, that e-mails only offer a level of protection comparable to a postcard and do not send us any sensitive information in this way.
We store the eMail received from you directly or via our contact form in order to be able to process your request. In addition, we log your data on our server in order to protect our system from misuse. We also record the time of sending and your IP address. This data is deleted after seven days.
